Create with Questions

a space to create and be in the practice of your work

April 25th - 28th 2024

Ellingwood Farm, Canaan, NY

We invite you to slow down and give yourself the time to focus on the creative projects calling for your attention.

Think artist residency meets group retreat. No portfolio submission, no rigorous application process, just an open offer to say “yes” and sink into what has—for too long—been put on the back burners.

This experience is about putting creative process and community support right in the center of your schedule. For 4 days, the focus will be entirely on giving ourselves the time to work on creative projects, and practice new skills and offerings together.

We will be an intimate container of 6 people. Each person will have their own private bedroom to luxuriate in rest, dreams, and solitude. Rooms have a desk to work at with nothing but natural light and birdsong pouring in from the surrounding countryside.

Dust off that book project, unearth that new bold business idea sitting at the bottom of the pile, break out the art supplies, say yes to that nagging feeling asking for a break, and let’s make business creative together.

Ellingwood Farm in Canaan, NY

Ellingwood Farm is a 34-acre refuge offering intimate, curated wellness retreats for individuals and small groups, located in bucolic Canaan, New York.

BWB will lead the facilitation with lightly guided activities to nurture the creative spirit. Group wellness sessions will be woven in, led by local practitioners including:

  • Group Reiki

  • Sound Bath

  • Enneagram Workshop

Our time will be loosely structured with ritual, practice and group feedback sessions dotted throughout the weekend. 2:1 targeted counsel will be also offered so each participant gets dedicated time with Casey and Caitlin.

The priority of each day will be to offer abundant space and deep time to work on creative projects.

The main house also includes several communal areas that foster connection, conversation, and an environment of reflection and inspiration.

Hiking trails and walking paths are right out the doors, with a small pond nearby. Self-guided contemplative exercises will also be available should that be in your pleasure.

Nourishment of our bodies, minds and spirits will be centered. Chef prepared meals are provided and the pantry stocked to stay fueled up and hydrated.
